PIckleball Dominates Florida Community

At the U.S. Open Pickleball Academy, about 300 people show up to play matches every day. Edwards, director of operations, said the academy has nearly tripled in size since it began. They're at the forefront of helping the sport infuse with the DNA of Naples.

Pickleball growing more popular in Central Florida: 'It's addicting'

Pickleball is winning enthusiasts here in Central Florida and for good reason. Pickleball is a sport played on a badminton-sized court with a perforated plastic ball, similar to a wiffle ball, and with paddles (composite or wooden) that measure roughly twice the size of ping-pong paddles.
